Research has shown time and time again that the only predictor of long term weight loss is the ability to stay with a particular diet. You will loose weight on just about any diets—the concern is to remain health during the weight loss and thereafter. Always remember that there are consequences to our choices and if you choose a more radical diet—say Atkins, you must weigh the benefits vs the drawbacks. Finally you need to ask yourself: 1) do I really need to loose weight? And 2) will these diets adversely effect my immune system?
